Guandique Charged For Homicide Of Levy
The Levy has resulted in Guandique being found guilty. Guandique, an immigrant from El Salvador, was determined responsible after the jury deliberated for four days. The court case is nevertheless a subject of controversy. There are some who think Guandique was framed.
Ingmar Guandique charged for killing Levy
The Chandra Levy murder case went unsolved for year, accounts MSNBC. Now, Ingmar Guandique was found responsible on trial. In Washington D.C., Levy had an internship. She supposedly was having an affair with Gary Condit, previous congressman, at the time. Because 2 women were attacked by Ingmar Guandique in Rock Creek Park in WA D.C., he is already serving a 10 year sentence. 2001 was when it began. It was 2001, a year after Levy was reported missing, that her remains were found in Rock Creek Park. Since Guandique had admited to his cell mate that he claimed her, and nothing else, the testimony from the cellmate led to him being tried. Since many think that Guandique has been used as a scapegoat, the murder trial is very controversial.
Odd proof
Gary Condit was always acting suspiciously at the case while even taking the Fifth Amendment at one point. This is what the illegal immigrant, Guandique, had his defense explain. A witness can take the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating himself, which Condit did. The defense talks a lot about the physical evidence and concerns with it. This is what the WA Post explains. There is little physical proof that Guandique ever came in contact with Levy. No homicide weapon was recovered, and the DNA found on Levy's running tights belonged to neither Guandique or Condit. There wasn’t any additional testing done even though the prosecution suggests that the evidence might have just been handled improperly thus causing DNA to be tampered with.
Poor way to conclusion the much talked about case
The problem is that the proof doesn’t all match up like it should. Due to Guandique’s past crimes though, he might very well be guilty when it comes to Chandra Levy. Maybe Chandra would appreciate the justice if she were nevertheless here.
