Will this SSR (Solid State Relay) work for what I'm attempting to do?
I'm wiring a system that will result in string lights "dancing" to music as described in this tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-Music-Controlled-Christmas-Lights/
It specifies that you need a SSR, a solid state relay, to make this contraption and they give a link to this product: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/758014-relay-ssr-2-0a-sip-dc-d2w202f.html
Problem is: the relay on that site has a fairly expensive shipping rate so I found this on ebay instead: http://cgi.ebay.com/KYOTTO-AC-Solid-State-Relay-SSR-KB20C04A-280VAC-4A-DIP_W0QQitemZ130301848814QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1e56986cee
What I want to know is if this will work as a replacement for what I'm trying to do?
It will work. I could not get the data sheet for the Crydom part to check pin assignments but I am guessing they are the same. The input voltage is the same, output voltage rating is the same. The part from ebay actually has double the current rating so you could even power more lights through it.

It's not that we haven't seen inexpensive Sous Vide builds. It's just that we
enjoy the fact that [Kelvin's] Sous Vide machine gives new life to unused
things. The cooking vessel is a cock pot which he acquired for just $3. He
housed it in a large Styrofoam box which he got for free through [...]
