In Stargate Atlantis did they ever figure out the Wraith were sensitive to salt water?
I've only seen season one so far, but I'm curious. The critter that was on the one guy's neck reacted violently to salt water. Atlantis was submerged under salt water. Are the Wraith sensitive to it?
As far as I know they haven't mentioned that again yet but in one episode a wraith queen swam through the sea of the planet. She didn't seem to have any problems with the water, but then again she was really old...(she slept in her crushed ship for 10.000 years) maybe she was just powerful enough to resist (?).
More likely to me is that the bug just didn't like the feel of the water or the wraith have evolved to being resistent to it... Would be likely since humans don't have any problems with it (as long as they don't drink it) and wraith evolved because those bugs liked to eat humans and slowly took part of the human genes into theirs....
